Satin pillowcases are great for your hair!  First thing, satin is a knit not a fiber, it is usually made from silk, acetate or polyester.  The best kind to get is acetate or polyester because they don't absorb moisture and that's why you want them!  Silk feels great but just like cotton it absorbs moisture and you want to keep moisture on your face and in your hair.
Satin pillowcases create a slip and a slide that prevent your hair from tangling or snagging.  You won't wake up with bed head and it helps your hair stay beautiful longer.

I've been trying to grow out my hair for a while but because it's fine it always seems to break at a certain point.  I had heard before about CO washing, which is an acronym for "conditioner only" washing.  I started researching online to find out about more and the responses were over whelming!  People love and swear by it!  They say it has taken their hair from brittle, to strong and helped it to grow longer, frizz less and generally feel healthier.

So, I've decided to give it a go!  It's been a week and I've been washing everyday with a conditioner that uses no parabens, waxes or silicone's.  I love it!!!!!  My very fine hair is not oily at all!  There was no adjustment period and my hair actually feels thicker and waves better.

What I do is  wet my hair, use a generous amount of conditioner, scrub my scalp with the conditioner (like it was shampoo), add a bit of water so I can get a little lather (it actually lathers) then rinse out.  My hair feels so soft and is always just as clean as when I use shampoo.

Shampoo is a detergent that can be harsh on your hair.  Conditioner has surfactants (detergents) in it already, that's why it is able to clean your hair.  Give it a try and see what you think!

Natalie Portman always effortlessly  beautiful, captures us in Black Swan.  After seeing this movie I was afraid of nightmares!  So far so good.  I will however be wearing a bun every day!  I often blog about the "bun" and how it always makes a chic up-do.  The ballerina bun is more structured but classically pretty.  Great film!
